Following Governor Ralph Northam’s statewide order which became effective at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, to protect the health and safety of Virginians and reduce the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Suffolk Visitor Center and Seaboard Station Railroad Museum, which have been closed to the public since March 16, 2020, will remain closed to the public until further notice. The initial closure was to have been through March 27, 2020. Suffolk Tourism employees will continue to report to work during this time.
City leadership will continue to actively monitor COVID-19 and assess City operations based on developments.
The public is encouraged to use the Facebook page to access the very latest Suffolk Tourism information and to call the Suffolk Visitor Center front desk at 757-514-4130 with any questions.
At this time, all Suffolk Tourism-sponsored events have been canceled or rescheduled. A decision to cancel or reschedule will be made for additional events as we learn more about the impact of the situation on the community. Individual events may be cancelled based upon communications with our partners and our online calendar will be updated as needed.
A daily list of restaurants that will be serving the public is published below and shared on our Facebook page.
