SUFFOLK FARMERS' MARKET / NEW SUFFOLK CITY MARKET
Location: Suffolk City Market and Country Store, 162 South Main Street
Shoppers select locally-grown, fresh picked produce when the farmers' market opens in a new, year-round location at 162 South Main Street under the name of "Suffolk City Market and Country Store." It was the previous home of Epps' Farm Supply which served a steadfast customer bases for 55 years.
The Suffolk City Market and Country Store is a culmination of the historic market that was a favorite of generations at the former Main Street City Hall and the more recent summer downtown market sponsored by the city Tourism office for the last several years. Under private management of Beale & Johnson Markets, LLC, the market will open Saturday, April 5, and operate Tuesday through Friday, 9am-5pm and on Saturday from 9am to 3pm.

March for Jesus calls Christians to unite and take the joy of knowing Jesus beyond the church walls and into the streets of our city with praise and prayer. Participants may register as Church/Christian organizations; a float entry, decorated bicycle/tricycle/wagon entry; decorated trucks entry; banner competition; praise/dance teams. The Theme "A day on earth as it is in Heaven." 10am Parade step off; Praise & Prayer Rally until 12pm (city parking lot on N. Commerce Street).

VIRGINIA REGIONAL FESTIVAL OF FLIGHT
Location: Suffolk Executive Airport
Come see hundreds of homebuilt, antique, classic, military, ultralight, and powered parachute aircraft at the Suffolk Executive Airport during the largest aircraft "Fly-In" in the Mid-Atlantic. See Radio Controlled aircraft on display. Examine all the airplanes up close; talk with pilots and builders. Visit the Youth Tent for hands-on activities. Kids and parents, come fly Control Line Models with an instructor at your elbow! Participate in aviation-related forums and "do it yourself" workshops. Enjoy a pancake breakfast daily 8 to 11 am and other food during the day. Since there is no Aerobatic Air Show aircraft will be free to arrive and depart all day keeping the air buzzing. SANKOFA AFRICAN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL - CONSTANT'S WHARF PARK

Butterfly Survey
Location: Nansemond National Wildlife Refuge
Skilled volunteers are needed for a butterfly survey to be conducted at the Nansemond National Wildlife Refuge led by biologist Don Schwab.
